Do you ever find yourself on a quest for the perfect diet and lifestyle that will nourish your body and enhance your overall well-being? Well, you're not alone. For over two decades, I have been immersed in the world of healthy eating, delving into the wonders of plant-based nutrition and experimenting with various dietary styles. Today, I want to share my journey and knowledge with you, although I must emphasize that I am not a medical professional, nutritionist, or certified health practitioner. Rather, I am a passionate healthy foodie who has dedicated countless hours to research, self-experimentation, and personal growth.

My fascination with vegetarianism began way back in 1984, when Frances Moore Lappé's book "Diet for a Small Planet" ignited my curiosity. However, my initial attempt at adopting a vegetarian diet was short-lived. It wasn't until 2006, while working at Wisdom Natural Brands, that I experienced a profound awakening. Struggling with debilitating health issues, I turned to research and experimentation to find a solution. That's when I discovered the transformative power of the raw food movement.

The raw food diet and lifestyle immediately captured my attention and, without hesitation, I embarked on a full transition. I experienced remarkable weight loss, resolved my health issues, and felt an unprecedented surge of energy. Fueled by this newfound vitality, I penned my first recipe book, "Raw-Riffic Food's 101 Super-Charged Juices, Shakes & Smoothies," and launched my blog, "Raw-Riffic Food," in 2007. A year later, I published "Raw-Riffic Food’s Raw Food Basics," which became a valuable resource for those seeking a comprehensive guide to raw foods.

Throughout my journey from my 40s to my 50s, my body and personal life underwent changes, but my commitment to an optimal diet remained steadfast. During this period, I predominantly consumed vegan meals while occasionally incorporating cooked foods. This led me to create a new blog called "The Vega-Riffic Lifestyle," where I continued to share my expertise and personal growth with others.

Now, just shy of age 60, I have come to realize that a plant-based flexitarian diet is most beneficial for my health and well-being. The key to my health journey has always been centered around consuming predominantly plant-based foods while minimizing processed foods. I cannot stress enough the importance of experimenting with your own culinary experience. While I continue to discover the dietary balance that suits my needs, I firmly believe that health and wealth are intertwined. The more we embrace living and earthy foods, the healthier we become.
