Hello! I'm Deborah Marsh, but please call me Debbie. My life is a rich tapestry woven with vibrant colors of art and the textures of health and wellness. As an artist, corporate professional, author, and health enthusiast, I blend creativity and well-being into every aspect of my life.

Early Inspirations and Discoveries

My journey to optimal health began in 1984 with Frances Moore Lappé's book "Diet for a Small Planet." Although my initial attempt at vegetarianism was short-lived, it set the stage for my lifelong commitment to healthy living. In 2003, I was introduced to raw foods, and by 2007, I fully embraced a raw food lifestyle, transforming my health dramatically.

The Turning Point


In 2006, I was suffering from various health issues when a co-worker's hair analysis revealed dietary deficiencies. This discovery led me to eliminate problematic foods, resulting in significant health improvements, including weight loss and increased energy.

Becoming an Author and Advocate

Inspired by my transformation, I published my first recipe book in 2007, followed by another in 2008. My blog, "Raw-Riffic Food," became a valuable resource for the raw food community.

Challenges and Resilience

Despite facing significant personal and health challenges, my passion for a mostly plant-based diet and lifestyle always brought me back. These experiences reinforced my commitment to health and well-being.

Family Transformation and Embracing a New Lifestyle

Transitioning to a mostly plant-based diet has significantly improved my family's health. My husband and I are now free from dependency on medications and enjoy a balanced lifestyle that includes hiking and embracing nature.

Evolution to a Plant-Based Flexitarian Diet

Today, at over 60 years old, I find that a plant-based flexitarian diet is the most beneficial for my health. This diet includes mostly plant-based foods with occasional animal products. Through my blog and books, I share my experiences to inspire others.
